Proof of full COVID-19 vaccination is required to take a tour (except for children under 12 and for people with a medical exemption).

Come along on our weekly guided walking tour of Halifax to learn about Halifax’s history, culture, and famous places. Meet other newcomers, have fun and learn useful settlement tips.

Halifax Newcomer Tour - Grand Parade

The Details

When is it? 10:00am to 12:30pm on Saturdays (weather permitting)

Where does it go? Downtown Halifax (starting at the Emera Oval – 5775 Cogswell Street)

Who is it for? Anyone who is new to Halifax including immigrants, international students, temporary foreign workers, or people relocating within Canada. All ages are welcome, but participants under 18 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.

How much is it? Free, but we accept tips!
