Skating at the Emera Oval

Come out and enjoy an evening of ice skating with Right Start Newcomer Services and other newcomers to Halifax.

We’ll meet up, tie up our skates, have a quick lesson, and head out for some skating fun. 

When you get tired (or sore) you can take a break and have some free hot chocolate and cookies.

No experience or skating equipment is necessary. You can borrow equipment there with a government-issued ID.

Time: 7:00 PM to 8:30 PM

Location: Emera Oval (5775 Cogswell Street, Halifax)

Cost: Free (but we accept tips)

Bring: Warm clothes, government-issued ID (such as a NS Driver’s Licence or ID card) to borrow equipment and a good attitude. Helmets are required for children 12 and under.
